We have a great variety of volunteer opportunities available and would be honored and privileged to have you come and volunteer with us in with us in our projects. All you need is to bring yourself, your desire to make a difference and your love for children and experience which will be invaluable in making a difference in the lives of our children and very rewarding for you.
Volunteer Placement Available in Uganda 2017
We are a small family-run orphanage and child development Center, which means your time with us will be personal, caring and very rewarding. Our children are all poor and vulnerable children coming from varying backgrounds; they are so thankful to have a caring, loving, secure home and chance of an education. You will enjoy your time with them, they are beautiful, happy, hardworking and respectful children and the people of Uganda are friendly and kind.
Our Volunteer Opportunities include:
-Construction works at our school, C & K Child Development Centre,
-Teaching at the child development Center, ages 3-12 years; this will be from 7.30am until 1.00pm
-Helping the children with their English fluency, numeracy, reading, organizing games and other activities.
-Helping in the orphanage; organizing and playing games with the children, homework, craft activities,
-Helping prepare meals, cleaning.
-Organizing and facilitating sporting activities, like football, netball, jump rope, hula hoop, running and ball games.
-Teaching the children computer skills.
-Helping teach the children life skills.
-Painting the new classrooms and landscaping around the buildings.
-Agriculture; we have 3 acres where we grow crops to feed the children, cultivation is ongoing.
Help with administration work.
We would appreciate and value all of your skills, gifts, and ideas you bring with you to share, the most precious thing you can bring is yourself and your love for children.
